Malifools Contest Entry I drew this for the logo/draw the Malifools contest. You draw a picture and if yours is picked then you get a box set! I love Malifaux and I love free stuff so I thought… why the hell not! :D

GENCON 2012 I signed up for only a few events last minute because I didn’t know I was going to be able to attend the convention until it was pretty late into the event registration period. I pre-registered to play the 20SS Malifaux tournament, ZombieTown (which I won), Midnight Zombie RPG, Zombies VS Cards, Zombie Walk, Smash Up, and an event called Painting a Dragon Statuette.
This is that Dragon Statuette. It is a ceramic dragon head that was primed solid black. We painted it with wax paints that take at least 24 hours to dry and we painted it with our FINGERS! That’s right… Our Fingers! It was a blast. It took me an hour and a half to get my dragon to look the way it does. I love it!

GENCON 2012 Marshall is a Henchman for our area, Waynesboro, PA. He signed up to work several shifts at Gen Con for Wyrd Games. He had to work four shifts to be reimbursed for his ticket. He received booth credit for the time worked and he also received Santana Ortega (Henchman only model at the moment) for working! Since he does demos weekly in our area, he had been saving his soul stones to make online purchases too! At Gen Con we got ALL this swag and he received two four Santana Ortega’s and four Miss Terious models!
If you listen to our podcast you can enter a chance to win swag every other episode! We are even thinking about giving away a Santana Ortega and a Miss Terious model at one of our tournaments! Stay tuned!

GENCON 2012 I signed up for the free painting event that was being hosted on the second floor of the Indy Convention Center on Day 1 of the Con! I got to try my hand at painting a little PLASTIC Puppet Wars Seamus! I have only ever painted the metal Wyrd Games models and was excited to see the quality of the plastic ones. They did not have much wash to use so I made some of my own with a drop of water and the smallest drop of paint ever. This is a picture of the unfinished Seamus as I was washing him!

So we have been busy painting our Malifaux models for the tournament we are playing in at Gen Con but we have been able to leave the house on occasion…
We went to visit family in Middletown and they are so close to Frederick that it isn’t funny so we were able to go to Beyond Comics! Hulk is life size and towers over everything in the store! We had a blast. They have everything… comic books, boardgames, card games, buttons, stickers, nerdtastic jewelry, prints, posters, action figures and so much more! I love that place!
